Bringing over a decade of experience in woodworking and business development, Ankit Yogi builds on the legacy of Overseas Traders, a third-generation family enterprise known for exporting East Indian Rosewood for musical instruments worldwide.
Through Arovan, he channels this deep material understanding into a design-driven practice, creating furniture and spaces that balance craftsmanship with a modern sensibility.

Arovan emerged from decades of hands-on engagement with hardwoods sourced and seasoned in Karnataka. What began as material study evolved into a distinct design language, where an understanding of grain, structure and time informs every piece. Today, Arovan operates as both workshop and studio, creating cohesive collections and spatial work grounded in material clarity and design discipline. Our work is made in India, with most processes handled in-house from raw timber to refined form, ensuring consistency, precision, and lasting quality.
